Celebrating 90 years in dance

It was 1899 when Frederick Freed was born in London’s East End, the son of a sample shoemaker. Employed as a shoemaker himself, Frederick decided that the art of making dance shoes would be more successful if shoes were made to measure for customers and not pre-made.

In 1929, Freed of London was established. From humble beginnings at a retail store in Cecil Court to being an internationally renowned leading Pointe shoe manufacturer. Freed of London are incredibly proud of our history and are pleased that we are able to celebrate 90 years in dance with you all.

To celebrate this momentous year, we will be offering new products, exclusive offers and more to our customers over the course of 2019.
